I live for a tropical vacation. Lazy beach days in the sun, mimosa brunches with an ocean view, and poolside hotel rooms are my speed.
This is why I choose to specialize in designing women’s clothing for beautiful destinations like Bali, Hawaii, the Mexican Riviera, Thailand, Bora Bora, and more. When I’m vacationing, I soak up inspo (and sun), then come home and use my travels to inspire the prints, designs, and fabrics of my work. It makes me feel like I’m in vacation mode all the time.
Picking outfits is half the fun, especially when you’re waiting in anticipation for your trip!
A gorgeous outfit is a celebration of the joyful things in life. Something about being on vacation tends to bring out a special flair in people’s styles. If you feel like wearing vibrant colors, exciting prints, and luxe fabrics, you’ll love this collection of vacation outfits I’ve designed for 2025.
Tips for Tropical Vacation Clothes
Most tropical destinations have warm weather all year round and can become hot and humid. Some places experience a wet and dry season, so check ahead what to expect when you’re visiting. Consider your activities as well. If you plan to visit a high altitude area, such as Hawaii’s volcanic and mountainous regions, temperatures up there may drop.
Here are some general tips for thriving in heat and humidity:
- Prioritize light, breathable fabrics like linen, rayon, and cotton.
- Choose light colors to reflect sunlight.
- Pack a hat for sun protection
Our Menton High Waisted Pants use a linen/rayon blend fabric that is lightweight and breathable for tropical climates. I like to include special touches in all my designs, so added a natural seashell button to these trousers. It adds a touch of shine and allows you to bring a little beach wherever you go.
Tuck one of our printed tanktops into these for an eye-catching look. I love our cockatoo top with the green linen trousers. It's an outfit I imagine wearing on a food tour of San Juan in Puerto Rico. Or strolling the beaches of Cancun early in the morning, before anyone else is up.

Our Palisades Maxi Skirts, which are available in several beautiful prints, are probably my favorite clothing item for traveling because they don't wrinkle, they're super flowy and breathable, versatile, and they have deep hidden pockets. Here it is in my hand drawn Vase de Flores tropical pattern.
Wear them to the beach over a bikini or with our matching crop top. Or, for more coverage, tuck in the matching tank top and transform it into a maxi dress fit for upscale dinners.

Linen and linen/rayon fabric is one of the best things you can wear in hot and humid weather. It is super breathable, doesn’t feel gross when you sweat, and looks fabulous.
If you’re going somewhere like Cancun or the Caribbean, I highly recommend bringing a pair of linen trousers and a linen button down shirt, especially in a light color. You may think long sleeves seem counterintuitive in hot weather, but when the fabric is linen, it won’t make you hot. Instead, it will protect you from the sun.

If you’re looking for an outfit that easily goes from strolling the coast to exploring exciting night life, look no further than the Sorrento Midi Skirt with its matching crop top. This cute pink pineapple print was inspired by Hawaii and is perfect for vacations anywhere beachy.
This sheath skirt is made with stretchy, smoothing fabric that flatters every curve. Its front split makes it easy to walk in. For more coverage, consider pairing it with a matching white tank top.

When I found this beautiful white linen fabric, my newly engaged self was filled with romantic fantasies of the dress I could turn it into. Here I am wearing it in my engagement photos. It’s a wonderfully made, heirloom quality garment that’s perfect for making your best memories in. Perfect for a honeymoon look!
This dress is fully lined, so it’s a little heavier weight than our other linen clothing, but still very breathable. Its impeccable tailoring gives it a flattering fit. I included a shirred panel in the back for some comfortable stretch. Best of all, it has pockets!

Bhavana here is wearing our Calypso Crop Top with the Menton Trouser and Valparaiso Blazer. For more coverage, try our full length tank top or a solid color vest. Add a pair of strappy heels and some jewelry for an impeccable look.

Sundresses are one of my “musts” for vacationing. They’re a complete outfit in themselves, can be dressed up or thrown over a swim suit, and are comfy in hot weather. I designed this dress to be extra travel friendly by using a wrinkle-free cotton/spandex fabric and by giving it pockets.
The Avalon Dress is also available in Pink Pineapples and Vase de Flores. I'm working on new colors and styles for next season!

Vests are very in right now. I don’t design or dress based on fleeting trends, but I love menswear inspired pieces. I have a feeling vests will be around for a while.
Our green vest comes in an earthy tone that I love for resort wear. The linen fabric gives it a casual feel that allows it to pair well with denim, matching or khaki linen trousers, and our Palisades Skirt in Cockatoos & Lemons.
Check out our matching green linen blazer, trousers, and button down to make a coordinated set.

Here’s a chic take on the tropical shirt your grandpa rocks whenever he’s on vacation. You will be just as comfortable as him, but way cute (unless your gramps is super adorable!)
There are so many ways to style a button up. For a vibrant pop of color - and some much needed sun protection - throw our Vase de Flores printed Saint-Tropez Shirt over a crop top or tank top with a pair of comfy solid color linen slacks.

Pretty sure I’ve included the Palisades Skirt in all it’s patterns in this blog post… but that’s because I love it so dang much!
My friend wore hers to the beach with our white crop top for a comfy warm weather look. Add a hat to maximize the beach vibes.

A vibrant, saturated print is perfect for travel destinations that have colorful cultures and wild life, like Brazil, Chile, or Mexico. The Vase de Flores version of our Avalon Dress captures color in its beautiful print.
Complete with hidden pockets, a flowing drape, and wrinkle-free cotton fabric, it’s perfect for taking on a trip. We love it paired with our Maui Cruiser hat. If temperatures dip in the evening, tossing our linen blazer in sage over it is a chic look.
